What a People Solutions Associate Does at Visa:
Employee & Manager Support and Program Execution - 60%
The People Solutions Associate supports employees, managers, and internal stakeholders by responding to HR-related inquiries, processing requests, maintaining accurate employee data, and assisting with the execution of People programs and operational activities.
Key responsibilities include:

Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers on common inquiries related to HR programs, processes, policies, and individual employee circumstances.

Provide clear guidance on standard HR processes and escalate more complex inquiries through the appropriate Ask People Team ticketing process when needed.
-
Intake, triage, and update employee cases using the case management tool, such as ServiceNow, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation.
-
Support updates to employee and organizational data in the global HRIS, such as Workday, following approved processes and controls.
-
Match employee questions with relevant knowledge articles, resources, and standard process guidance available through the Ask People portal.

Assist with reviewing and updating policy and procedure documents, including How-to Guides, FAQs, and standard operating procedures, to support employee self-service.

Support new People/HR program launches by helping document procedures, test workflows, validate process steps, and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience.

Assist with user acceptance testing in Workday or other HR systems under guidance from more senior team members or functional leads.

Help gather employee feedback and local insights to support Global Teams and Centers of Excellence in improving HR programs and processes.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve routine data errors, process issues, or inconsistencies that may affect employee records and reporting.

Support annual People/HR events and programs, such as Annual Review, Benefits Open Enrollment, onboarding activities, and other employee-impacting processes.

Assist with activities related to new company mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, or employee transitions by supporting data validation, documentation, and coordination tasks.

Provide people-related data reporting support as requested, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery.

Support the transition of new work into Global People Services by assisting with documentation, training materials, shadowing activities, and process mapping.

Help organize and coordinate in-person or virtual New Hire Business Orientations, including logistics, communications, and tracking.

Maintain documentation for processes and activities within scope, ensuring materials remain accurate, current, and easy to follow.

Follow internal quality assurance processes and support achievement of key service metrics, including SLAs, case volume, customer satisfaction, and quality standards.

Contribute to a positive employee experience by providing timely, professional, and customer-focused support.
COE Partnership & Program Support - 25%
The People Solutions Associate works closely with Centers of Excellence and internal partner teams to support the local execution of global People programs and ensure operational activities are completed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities include:

Support COE partners across areas such as Benefits, Mobility, Early Careers, Payroll, Equity, Workforce Planning, HR Data Analytics, HR Compliance, and Inclusion & Diversity.

Assist with local execution tasks for COE programs, including document preparation, employee communications, tracking, and coordination with internal teams or external parties.
-
Support coordination with external stakeholders such as banks, local tax bureaus, finance development bureaus, government authorities, and vendors, where applicable.
-
Assist with residence certificate applications and other employee documentation processes in locations such as Shanghai and Beijing.
-
Participate in regular syncs with COE partners in Benefits, Equity, Payroll, Mobility, and Early Careers to discuss local needs, open items, and individual employee cases.
-
Support domestic relocation processes by assisting with contract preparation, document collection, resignation certificate handling, and coordination with the Mobility team.
-
Assist with legal entity setup or employee transfer activities by helping gather requirements, prepare documentation, track actions, and coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, HR Systems, and Equity teams.

Support employee transfers across legal entities by ensuring documentation and data updates are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with local requirements.

Help coordinate with internal and external auditors, regulators, and vendors by preparing employee data and documentation under guidance from senior team members.

Support the preparation and distribution of regular People communications, such as a monthly People Newsletter, employee updates, or program announcements.
People Initiatives & Project Support - 15%
The People Solutions Associate supports market-specific People initiatives and projects aligned with business priorities, employee experience, and local requirements.
Key responsibilities include:

Assist with the delivery of local People initiatives, employee programs, and operational improvement projects.
-
Support learning, engagement, and capability-building programs in Greater China based on annual People priorities.
-
Coordinate logistics, communications, tracking, and follow-ups for local employee programs and events.
-
Work with local authorities or internal stakeholders to support talent-related programs, as required.
-
Help track project milestones, maintain action logs, prepare status updates, and escalate risks or delays to the appropriate team members.
-
Contribute ideas for process improvements, simplification, and enhanced employee experience.
-
Support ad hoc People Operations projects and activities as assigned.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant HR, People Operations, Employee Services, or Shared Services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-
Experience supporting HR operations, employee services, or shared services activities in a fast-paced, employee-focused environment.
-
Working knowledge of HR systems such as Workday, and case management tools such as ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
-
Experience responding to employee or manager inquiries, processing HR transactions, and escalating more complex issues when appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
3–5 years of relevant HR work experience, preferably in HR Shared Services, Global People Services, Employee Services, People Operations, or a related operational support role.

Familiarity with HR functional policies, employee lifecycle processes, local regulatory requirements, and global HR systems.
-
Experience using HRIS platforms such as Workday and case management systems such as ServiceNow.
-
Experience supporting the intake, triage, tracking, and resolution of employee and manager inquiries.
-
Ability to process employee data changes accurately and maintain high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.

Experience supporting HR operational processes, including documentation, process flows, FAQs, and knowledge base updates.

Ability to assist with the transition of new work or processes into a shared services environment, including supporting training, documentation, and process mapping.

Experience supporting annual HR programs and cyclical activities, such as Annual Review, Benefits Enrolment, onboarding, employee transfers, or organizational changes.

Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including COEs such as Benefits, Payroll, Mobility, Equity, Early Careers, HR Systems, vendors, and internal teams.

Strong customer service orientation, with a commitment to delivering a positive employee experience.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, research, and resolve routine to moderately complex HR data or process issues.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines, SLAs, and quality expectations.

Familiarity with service delivery metrics, KPIs, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain HR processes clearly and professionally to employees and internal stakeholders.

Ability to prepare simple reports, status updates, presentations, and process documentation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
