The German School Shanghai is one of the largest German schools abroad. At its two campuses in Hongqiao and Yangpu, approximately 1,100 children and students receive an outstanding German education. We are seeking a cashier (m/f/d) for our finance department to join us as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Personal Expense Reimbursement and External Supplier/Company payment:
- Process and verify personal expense reimbursement or Company payment requests
- Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with school policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all reimbursements and provide regular reports to the CFO
Fee Collection Management:
- Oversee the collection of school fees, including tuition, registration fees, and other charges
- Manage payment parties’ information in the system. Allocate payments to appropriate accounts and reconcile with bank statements or other channels
- Issue official receipts / VAT Fapiao for payments received, if required or according to internal processes. (Handle Fapiao information and ensure compliance with local tax regulations)
- Maintain a comprehensive fee collection database and generate regular reports on fee collection status, as required by CFO
Deposit Management:
- Manage the collection and processing of deposits, including initial deposits and any subsequent refunds
- Ensure deposits are accurately recorded and reconciled with bank statements
- Handle refund requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with school policies
Other Duties:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports as required
- Provide support during the annual audit process
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by CFO

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Honest, responsible, detail-oriented, with strong professional ethics and good communication skills
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; education sector experience is preferred
Solid experience in collection management, invoice/Fapiao management (issuing and tracking invoices), and QR code payment management (e.g., Alipay, WeChat Pay收款码)
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Good command of English; German is a plus but not required
Willingness to work across two campus locations as needed
