We are a leading proprietary quantitative trading firm with a dominant presence in digital assets. Having established a world-class infrastructure for HFT and systematic arbitrage, we are now embarking on a multi-year expansion into traditional global electronic markets.

We are seeking a Chief Investment Officer (Systematic Trading) to architect and execute our expansion into traditional global markets from the ground up. You will own our market-entry roadmap, build an elite quantitative team, and scale an AI-first systematic trading organization that translates sophisticated algorithmic strategies into institutional-grade global market revenue.

What You Will Do

Market Entry & Strategic Roadmap: Evaluate and prioritize entry into traditional markets and instruments. Develop a sequencing plan based on market microstructure, liquidity, and electronic tradability.
Organizational Architecture: Drive the hiring of high calibre Alpha Researchers, Quant Traders, and Quant Developers, and promote a high-performance culture that balances aggressive growth with institutional discipline.
Investment & Operating Plan (ROI): Define and manage the required investment across market data, compute requirements, and connectivity. Track actual spend against delivered research and trading output to ensure disciplined resource scaling.
Capital Allocation & Prioritization: Create a framework for capital deployment across teams, strategies, and markets. Work with leadership to optimize risk-adjusted ROI, making high-stakes decisions on when to scale, pause, or retire strategies.
AI-First Research Framework: Partner with CTO to ensure AI/Agents are embedded where they create real leverage—accelerating research throughput, enhancing strategy reproducibility, and automating research-to-production (R2P) workflows.
Operating Cadence: Implement the discipline of regular post-trade analysis, research reviews, and promotion gates to ensure the business operates as a scalable "trading system" rather than a collection of isolated projects.

Who You Are

8+ Years of Systematic Trading Experience: Proven track record at a top-tier prop trading firm or market maker, and mastery of market microstructure.
Demonstrated ability to build things from scratch, convert a strategic vision into a hiring plan and design operational frameworks.
Strategic & Commercial Judgment: Strong intuition on when and where to deploy time and capital, and ability to define our market-entry roadmap, with an immediate focus on cross-border access to Greater China electronic markets, and further expanding into other global venues that align with the firm's existing strengths.
Asset Mastery: Deep expertise in Futures and Equities microstructure and electronic execution across multiple global venues.
Technical Depth: Strong understanding of the full trading lifecycle: data normalization, simulation engines, execution algorithms, and risk management.
Ownership Mindset: A hands-on leader who thrives in high-growth environments where details are not predefined and clarity must be created.
Practical AI Awareness: A vision for how LLMs and agents reshape systematic research workflows, distinguishing between superficial tooling and true research leverage.
Cross-Border & Structural Awareness: Deep understanding of the regulatory, structural, and capital mobility frictions of traditional markets relative to digital assets, paired with the patience and strategic acumen to build around these constraints.
Fluency in both English & Mandarin Chinese
