Responsibilities:
1. Market Trend Research & Merchandise Planning -
Market research: Fashion weeks, industry publications, social media monitoring,
consumer preferences and competitor strategies. - - - - - -
Join the Design team on seasonal inspiration trips.
Data analysis: Collect and review sales performance, seasonal best-sellers and
demand by price range from Inventory team.
Lead the Inventory team set category composition, SKU counts, and pricing range.
Create seasonal planning: Define the main seasonal theme, color palette, and
fabric/material direction closely corporation with Brand Director, Design and
Buying team to guarantee that development aligns with the merchandising
strategy—clearly defining NBA, AT ratios and launch cadence to ensure a
cohesive product line.
Specify target demographics: Age, gender, lifestyle, price positioning with Retail
team.
Propose capsule collection or collaborations for brand differentiation.
2. Annual Product-Line Planning
Finalize the full-year product-line plan at the beginning of the year, including the
proportion of different purchase-order types and their allocation across product lines.
3. Cross-Functional Final Plan Alignment -
Collaborate intensively with Finance, Inventory team as well as the Head of buying
to lock the definitive merchandise plan. -
Lead the inventory team in feeding market and trend insights into the plan.
4. Product Design & Development Facilitation -
Support the entire design workflow, coordinate with designer and buyer on pre
production development such as fabric/material, techniques to confirm new
products match market trends. -
Sample review and approve: Evaluate fit, comfort, functionality, and fabric quality.
5. Merchandise Review & Go-to-Market Alignment -
Organize style reviews with Retail, E-commerce, Design and Product teams (fit
within seasonal drops, category rationality, brand-tone expression, etc.). -
Ensure and drive GTM strategy; coordinate tightly with VMD and Marketing.
6. Ordering Plan - - -
Work with Buying team to craft effective pricing strategies while safeguarding
target margins, ensuring market competitiveness.
Output final product information for buying meetings, present GTM strategy on
site, gather feedback from Buying Managers and Creative Director.
Factory Orders: Post-meeting, confirm orders quantities, deadline and quality
standards with Retail National Product team to guarantee efficient allocation and
deliver timely in-season replenishment plans.
Logistics Delivery: Plan distribution with Retail team.
7. Sales Tracking & Inventory Management -
Sales strategy: Collaborate with Retail National Product team to establish pricing,
promotional activities, and sale periods. - - -
Monitor weekly post-launch sell-through rates, product-level sales, profit margins.
Push reorders on best sellers, and collaborate with National Product team on
clearance tactics for slow movers to balance supply and demand and minimize
inventory risk (via weekly cross-functional review meetings).
Seasonal feedback: Lead Inventory team to complete seasonal wrap-ups, identify
best-sellers and analyze underperforming items, adjust product mix based on
performance data for next season input.
8. Brand & Marketing Collaboration -
Work with Marketing team to integrate merchandising concepts into lookbooks,
campaigns, and social media content to ensure products reflect the brand identify.
9. Industry Intelligence & Merchandising Proposals -
Maintain real-time awareness of industry developments; craft detailed
merchandising proposals informed by past-season insights. -
Participate in Mood board and kick-off meetings, contributing fabric definitions and
other inputs.
10. Consolidate previous-season sales data to produce comprehensive
merchandise summaries; partner with the men’s e-commerce platform
companies to clear past-season inventory, increase Killer Styles, and accelerate
new-product sales.
Requirements
1. You have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in the area of Design, Buying
or Merchandising, better in Menswear
2. Proven excellent leadership skills and strong management track record
3. Bachelor's degree in textiles or proven track record in the fashion industry
4. Ability to set priorities and work organized
5. Strong analytical skills and a good business mindset
6. Strong fashion sense and ability to implement new trends in the product development
process
7. Strong negotiation skills
8. Good English skills, both spoken and written
9. Eager to bring the best product to the shop floor
