Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Hunt for new business by following up on sales leads and quotations and developing relationships with companies who make contact with Teledyne e2v
-
Maintain and develop current business whilst looking for growth opportunities
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with Teledyne e2v’s customers, by ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business

With key accounts; work with our business development and service delivery team to improve our customer perception by proactively improving their customer experience

Provide, sell and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers and promotions
-
Produce quotations in our Salesforce system
-
Manage opportunities in the Salesforce system to point of order closure
-
Proactively develop relationships with people at our key accounts and maintain a proactive customer service level by responding to all customers in a swift, timely manner
-
Ensure our Salesforce system is kept accurate and up to date with all customer contact information
-
Keep track of new orders and sales against annual targets
-
Perform pre-sales preparation to facilitate successful contract closure acceptable to the customer and be within Teledyne e2v governance and compliance framework

Support the Head of Business Development by:
-
Recording contact information in Salesforce
-
Raising leads, opportunities and quotes
-
Using price lists to negotiate the best price
-
Making initial contact with sales lead enquiries
-
Managing CRM opportunities from start to finish
-
Proactively following up on open quotes
-
Obtain the product demand information from customers and provide accurate sales forecasting
-
Keep track of new orders in-take against annual order targets
-
Respond to all customers in a swift, timely manner
-
Work cross functionally with our internal customers & suppliers to remove blocks that negatively affect the customer experience

Speak to customers about any questions or problems they have about their orders
-
Build and maintain relationships with contacts at our customers who administer and place orders
-
Understand our business strategy and account management strategy
-
Identify any customer complaints, log in the Salesforce system and keep in regular contact with any customers who have a complaint to ensure they are kept informed and know that their issue is being addressed and will be resolved

The role holder is also responsible for OHSE (Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental) and must:-

Champion our Health and Safety standards, procedures and company rules;

Intervene, correct (where able to) and report all unsafe or non-compliant situations by taking action (e.g. hazard spots) and reporting near misses;

Demonstrate a duty of care towards those you come in contact with and work with and proactively escalate potential Health and Safety issues as and where appropriate;
Job Qualifications:
-
Experience working in a customer facing organization /sales supporting function
-
Strong interpersonal, persuasiveness and communicational skills
-
Strong problem solving capabilities
-
Experience in using Salesforce and ERP systems
-
Computer Literate, MS Office skills particularly EXCEL required
-
Administration skills with attention to detail and accuracy or previous Customer Service/Sales role
-
An ability to multi task and work within tight deadlines
-
‘Can do’ mentality and follow through approach

Team player with an ability to work independently
