Chemical Laboratory Manager – Food Contact Materials:
IMQ LAB Suzhou Co. Ltd. is seeking a highly qualified Chemical Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory in Suzhou, China. Our facility is mainly specialized in food contact materials (FCM), as well as in medical devices and Reach /RoHs testing. In this role, the candidate shall oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure testing accuracy, and manage a dedicated team of technicians as well as conduct tests while maintaining strong alignment with our headquarters in Italy.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Management of laboratory activities
Sample preparation for analysis
Setup of contact and conditioning tests
Chemical analyses using chromatographic instrumentation (GC‑MS, LC‑MS, ICP‑OES)
Preparation of test reports
Management of quality‑related documentation
Knowledge and skills
Good knowledge of basic chemical laboratory activities, preferably with experience in chromatographic instrumentation (GC‑MS, LC‑MS, ICP‑MS)
Understanding of the basic requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
Excellent command of English and Italian; Native Chinese language proficiency will be considered an advantage
Familiarity with the main instruments used in the above activities (chromatography, spectrometry, spectroscopy)

Educational and professional requirements
Professional background: previous experience in a similar role (3–5 years) is appreciated
