Veeva is seeking a Managed Services Consultant who is passionate about becoming an expert in our China CRM product and dedicated to helping our Multinational Pharmaceutical (MNC) customers in China achieve their business vision.
This pivotal role provides offsite, post-implementation system consulting and technical administration. If you love consulting but are seeking an opportunity to deeply specialize without the constant travel, you will serve as the crucial technical link between our customers and our specialized service, product, and development teams based out of China.
As a Managed Services Consultant, you will ensure the seamless operation and optimization of the Veeva China CRM platform by focusing on three core areas:
- System Consulting & Client Partnership:
- Act as a trusted technical consultant for post-implementation system administration and support
- Communicate with China customers to gather and analyze requirements
- Interact with Veeva teams (Support, CSM, PMs) on customers’ behalf to drive resolution and improvements
- Provide best practice sharing and technical feature education to customers
- System Administration & Execution:
- Provide Tier 2/3 Incident Troubleshooting and timely resolution
- Manage and execute the customer-internal System Releases Cycle
- Design and enable new product features based on customer needs
- Perform environment management and execute Customer Change Requests (CR)
- Handle system maintenance, including user, security, territory, and role hierarchy setup
- Maintain data imports and exports
- Team Improvement:
- Grow the capabilities of the team, develop best practices, and create accelerators
- Be willing to “wear any hat” necessary to make the customer successful
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical foundation, an analytical mindset, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- At least Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree
- Strong technical background with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Python and MySQL
- Good understanding of software architecture and data models
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools and CLI assistants (e.g., Gemini, Claude Code, etc.). A solid foundation in basic AI concepts is required
- Excellent communication skills—ability to deliver formal presentations in workshops and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to ensure high-degree of satisfaction
- Smart, eager to learn new things, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
- Proven ability to work under pressure, always committing to the work assigned, and maintaining high accountability
- Exceptional ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks and requests effectively
- Prior experience in customer service, consulting, business analysis (BA), or project management (PM)
- Direct product knowledge of Veeva China CRM (China SFA)
- Knowledge and applicable work experience in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences
