Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Procurement Specialist to manage the purchasing of goods and services needed for business operations. This role is responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, managing purchase orders, monitoring vendor performance, and ensuring procurement activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and supplier agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and purchasing documentation.
- Track order status and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, damaged goods, or invoice discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, supplier pricing, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets, and applicable regulations.
- Support vendor performance reviews and recommend improvements or alternative suppliers when needed.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, logistics, and other departments to support business goals.
