This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.
What you can look forward to as AI Tool Engineer:
- Lead the design and build of an agent-based automation platform (foundation layer) to support ADAS product development.
- Work with discipline team tool chain developer to optimize existing workflows to enable automation or semi-automation on ASPICE work-product development.
- Drive AI-powered automation to improve engineering productivity and agent-assisted (“digital twin”) development efficiency.
- Lead light-weight AI related ADAS design to enable the engineering team capability development.
- Manage AI related facilities and Capex for flawless work-product delivery.
- Develop the team and establish the capability to support business success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strong adoption and measurable business impact.
Your Profile as Al Tool Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, AI, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ADAS, AI/ML, or AI tooling/platform development.
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred) with solid software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with AI/ML workflows, toolchains, or LLM/agent-based applications.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects end-to-end and drive execution without direct reports.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
