About This Role
Supports the delivery of reliable, secure, and business-aligned technology services in Dongguan FCN factory under the guidance of HQ and regional IT organizations. This role is responsible for local DT operations, staff coordination, budget input, service execution, and ensuring site-level compliance with group IT standards, policies, and direction. The position also supports APAC workplace management as a key contact for end-user support, computer support services, and managed service provider (MSP) coordination to help ensure a consistent user experience across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute DT and workplace technology plans at the factory in alignment with HQ and regional IT policies, standards, and business priorities.
- Serve as the primary local contact for end-user support and computer support, ensuring responsive issue resolution, clear communication, and strong user service experience.
- Support workplace management across APAC by driving the workplace MSP’s KPI achievement in areas including user computing environment standards, device lifecycle coordination, office IT support readiness, onboarding and offboarding support, and compliance with workplace technology governance.
- Consult with users on local project requests and problem resolution; translate business needs into practical solutions, resource requirements, and service improvements in coordination with regional IT teams.
- Coordinate with HQ and regional IT organizations on purchasing of hardware, software, and technical services; support proposal evaluation, procurement processes, and verification of delivered goods and services.
- Provide input for departmental expenditure, budget planning, and forecasting, while operating within agreed financial controls and regional support frameworks.
- Oversee daily site-level IT operations, including hardware, software, collaboration tools, file services, and other user-facing technologies required for business continuity, following group IT operational guidelines.
- Support the protection of IT resources against cyber threats such as malware, unauthorized access, and other security risks by implementing and following established controls, awareness requirements, and operational procedures.
- Ensure EHS management system requirements and company procedures are followed and effectively implemented at the site level.
- Stay informed of technology changes, company standards, and service management practices through engagement with HQ, regional IT teams, vendors, and relevant professional resources.
- Coordinate and develop the local DT team, promoting accountability, service quality, and alignment with business needs and organizational expectations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, end-user computing, workplace technology, or regional IT operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of user support operations, computer support, device and workplace service management, and vendor/MSP coordination.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across countries, functions, and service providers in APAC.
- Good English communication skills and solid computer competencies; ability to operate in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting workplace services, end-user computing, or site IT operations within a regional or global IT governance model; familiarity with IT service management practices, service performance tracking, and manufacturing operations; prior experience coordinating with external service providers; and demonstrated ability to execute effectively within established standards, processes, and organizational guidelines.
