Position Overview:
Join Epiroc (Nanjing) Construction & Mining Equipment Ltd as a Compliance Engineer within the Equipment & Service Business Area, part of the Underground Division. This critical role is focused on regulatory and customer compliance specifically tailored to our Electrical Infrastructure product lines that serve the mining industry. The Compliance Engineer will ensure that these innovative electrification products meet all necessary regulatory standards and customer requirements globally, contributing to Epiroc's leadership in sustainable mining solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards, industry regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to Electrical Infrastructure products in key mining markets.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams during new product development to ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulations, facilitating successful product release.
- Interpret complex regulatory documents and standards, such as ISO, IEEE, UL, CSA, CE, AS/NZS, and communicate these effectively to cross-functional teams.
- Lead compliance risk assessments and conduct gap analyses to identify and address potential compliance challenges early in the product lifecycle.
- Engage with international governing bodies and standard organizations like IEC and IEEE to stay abreast of evolving standards and contribute to shaping them where applicable.
- Support marketing and business development teams by conducting thorough compliance checks prior to market entry in new regions.
- Work in partnership with suppliers to audit and verify that their components comply with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 2 years, preferably 5+ years, of regulatory and compliance experience, ideally within product development cycles.
- Educational background in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines is required. Additional certifications or specialized training in regulatory compliance and product compliance are highly valued.
- Experience with electrical low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) systems, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, and energy storage solutions is advantageous.
- Proficient in compliance management tools such as Polarion, Doors, Jama, or equivalent platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese are essential to facilitate effective collaboration across global teams.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities, with keen attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving aptitude with the flexibility to adapt to shifting project requirements and timelines.
