YOUR TASKS

Analyzing the local and regional procurement market and the respective supplier development with regard to the objectives and requirements of the business units as well as preparing and updating the supplier matrix, preparing qualified supplier evaluations, setting up alternative suppliers to reduce costs, achieving technical, qualitative and other defined objectives in accordance with the requirements of the business units in coordination with the cross-functional managers involved

Prepare and implement purchasing strategies for the local and regional purchasing organization in close consultation with the global purchasing organization, the global network or the regional business unit; contribute to establishing a globally uniform and optimized supplier base to realize synergies by bundling the local purchasing volume, focusing on efficient suppliers and optimizing the local process chain

Leading employees by agreeing on objectives as well as delegating, selecting, qualifying and developing employees on the basis of a culture of trust, effectiveness control to level and develop potentials as well as promoting individual competences to fulfil departmental objectives

Align supplier development strategies with product line roadmaps to proactively identify, evaluate and qualify local or regional suppliers. Drive cross-functional internal onboarding plans to ensure timely ramp-up and optimize the end-to-end supplier-to-Hella process chain.

Develop and execute strategic cost-down and supply resource plans aligned with company and product line operational targets, leveraging should-cost analysis, TCO modeling, and commodity strategies to deliver measurable P&L impact. Drive cross-functional execution with engineering, finance, and operations to ensure roadmaps are translated into actionable sourcing initiatives that enhance cost competitiveness and supply resilience.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field; 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement within automotive, electronics, or complex manufacturing industries.

Proven track record in developing commodity-specific sourcing strategies and executing cost-down initiatives using should-cost analysis, TCO modeling, and value engineering, with demonstrated ability to deliver measurable P&L impact.

Hands-on experience analyzing local and regional procurement markets, maintaining a robust supplier matrix, and proactively identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost targets aligned with product roadmaps.

Demonstrated ability to design local and regional purchasing strategies in close coordination with global purchasing organizations, consolidating volumes to capture synergies and optimizing the end-to-end supplier-to-manufacturer process chain.

Strong stakeholder management skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives across engineering, finance, operations, and quality to ensure timely supplier ramp-up, supply resilience, and fulfillment of business unit objectives.

Proven leadership experience in building and developing high-performing teams through objective-setting, delegation, talent qualification, and performance coaching within a culture of trust and accountability.
