The Company is expanding its China & South-East ASIA region operations and seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across reciprocating compressor upgrade, retrofit, performance improvement, and aftermarket services. The role covers mainly downstream petrochemical applications (ethylene, ammonia, LNG, refining, BDO etc.), with a strong emphasis on building lasting technical relationships with end users and EPCs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive sales of reciprocating compressor reapplication, performance upgrades, and spare parts across upstream oil & gas and downstream chemical, LNG, and refining, BDO etc. customers.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities through prospecting, customer visits, and account management across the full sales cycle — from needs assessment through contract award.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to prepare proposals, technical solutions, and quotations that accurately address customer operational requirements.
- Meet annual revenue targets; provide regular pipeline reports, market intelligence, and competitive insights to regional management.
- Act as the customer-facing liaison between China-based clients and Cooper's global technical support, product management, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and feedback market requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and opportunity records in the CRM system.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor's or above
Mechanical, Chemical, or Fluid Machinery engineering
EXPERIENCE
5+ years
Sales or technical service in compressor / rotating equipment
LANGUAGE
Mandarin native English proficient
Read technical docs; business correspondence in English

- Solid understanding of reciprocating (piston) compressor principles, common failure modes, and reapplication or performance improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with key domestic and international reciprocating compressor OEMs.
- Working knowledge of compressor applications in downstream processes (ethylene, ammonia synthesis, LNG, refining etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage credibly with both technical engineers and procurement / management decision-makers.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment sales processes including needs qualification, technical clarification, quotation, and contract negotiation.
- Functional English reading and writing skills; ability to review English technical manuals, product datasheets, and correspondence independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience selling compressor valves or seals
Familiar with API 618 compressor
Established EPC or owner operator relationships
Working experience in OEMs
