The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.
- Partner with suppliers to develop new conversion materials that improve product performance; qualify alternative material sources to enhance cost efficiency and mitigate supply risk.
- Phosphor steering through DOE and data analysis; develop and maintain STDB; set up MixZPP and SCC to meet target bin requirements, including color, CRI, brightness, and yield.
- Serve as the material engineering representative in new product development; support project leaders with conversion material troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Test and analyze basic properties of conversion materials using relevant laboratory instruments (e.g., fluorescence spectroscopy), and document results to support material development and qualification.
- Provides consultation, guidance and work direction to colleagues and management and uses judgment to influence within and across functions to drive impact on the business/ function.
- Quickly develop strong understanding of immediate area of responsibility by actively participating in the multi-disciplinary area team, generate ideas, recommendations that improve results and incorporate new learnings and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support high complex New Product Introductions by delivering assigned Conversion Material solutions meeting or exceeding Quality and timeline targets.
- Supervising, coaching, managing and motivating department members on a day-to-day basis.
- Define department training matrix and the execution.
- Take few senior/ consultants role in site level, example: internal trainer, JIRA expert, Global Team Building Multiplier, BAT core team, etc.
- Assume Consultant/ Project Leader for supporting engineering or production on chronic issue and continuous improvement project.
- Bachelor or above in Material/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering related Science and Engineering major
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry; exceptional PhD graduates will also be considered
- Experience in the LED industry is preferred
- Experience in provides consultation, guidance and work direction to others. Experience in cross functional project management
