Main assignments, responsibilities and authorities
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, industry events, trade shows, and professional networking platforms.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries, including automotive, welding, and manufacturing, etc., across assigned territories.
- Conduct market research, identify customer needs, analyze industry trends, monitor competitor activities, help to develop targeted sales strategies.
- Manage the full sales process from initial client contact to contract negotiation and deal closure, including pricing, terms, and contracts negotiation.
- Leverage your deep understanding of Höganäs products, help to develop customized sales proposals and deliver technical presentations that highlight the unique value proposition of Höganäs products, addressing client-specific challenges.
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships with key clients, ensure prompt resolution of client issues.
- Collaborate with application and R&D, to collect client feedback and market demands, contributing to product improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Prepare sales reports, including forecasts, pipeline status, and performance metrics, to support leadership decision-making and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline status in CRM system.
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Knowledge, capabilities and motivation
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field. A master’s degree is a strong plus.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in welding consumable or metal material industry
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to addressing client needs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and generate reports.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Physical demands and working environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to visit customers, attend industry events, etc.
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English.
