As a Product & Portfolio Manager (f/m/d), you will shape our Physical AI Platforms portfolio in China with a focus on Level 2 robotics skills, local ecosystem partnerships, and customer-facing market development. You will work closely with the existing Physical AI Platforms team in Suzhou and help translate market needs into scalable product and portfolio decisions.
This role goes beyond classical product management. You will combine product and portfolio strategy with partnership development, market insight, customer engagement, and ecosystem building. You will help ensure our robotics offerings are technically relevant, commercially differentiated, and well connected to Chinese robotics and automation trends.

Key responsibilities
- Analyzing market trends, competitive developments, and customer needs in the Chinese robotics and industrial automation landscape
- Shaping the portfolio direction for Level 2 Physical AI offerings with a focus on practical industrial use cases such as picking, placing, and motion-enabled robotic applications
- Working closely with the Suzhou Physical AI Platforms engineering team to translate market requirements into product scope, roadmap priorities, and MVP definitions
- Identifying and developing partnerships with Chinese robot vendors, ecosystem players, technology providers, and relevant industrial partners
- Supporting the integration strategy for local vendors by articulating business value, technical priorities, and market relevance
- Engaging with customers, partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and refine portfolio priorities
- Helping define go-to-market narratives, customer value propositions, and use-case positioning for the China market
- Coordinating with global product, engineering, and strategy teams to ensure local needs are reflected in broader portfolio development
- Supporting customer-facing activities such as workshops, partner discussions, strategic account engagement, and solution framing
- Driving continuous portfolio improvement through data, feedback, competitive insight, and close collaboration with development teams
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Studying abroad is a plus but not required.
- 3+ years’ experience in product management, portfolio management, business development, or strategic market development
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial software, robotics, automation, AI-enabled products, or related technology domains
- Good understanding of the Chinese robotics market, local ecosystem dynamics, and partner landscape
- Ability to translate customer requirements and technology capabilities into concrete product decisions and portfolio direction
- Experience in working with engineering teams on product scoping, prioritization, and MVP definition
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences
- Ability to build trusted relationships with partners, customers, and internal teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in robotics partnerships, industrial ecosystem development, or strategic alliances in China
- Familiarity with robot OEMs, system integrators, machine builders, or local AI/automation technology providers
- Experience with software-enabled portfolio development, solution positioning, or market introduction of new technology offerings
- Understanding of robotics connectivity, motion planning, perception-enabled systems, or industrial AI trends
- Experience in customer-facing roles that combine product strategy with business development
- Experience working at a multinational corporation (MNC) is a plus.
Languages
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- German is a plus, but not required
